We’re not done celebrating

A little more than 2 years ago, I met an EXTRAORDINARY man and fell in love with his amazing smile. Since we’ve been dating aroung holidays, we’ve figured out our anniversary would be easier to remember if we officialized it on Christmas day, which is, if you don’t remember, december 25th! Easy to remember, sure, but since it competes with the biggest day of the year, we don’t find much time to celebrate it! Anyway, I just though I would brag about it here! After two years, I can’t tell you how happy that man makes me.

Happy second anniversary, love !

Let’s move on

Let’s welcome 2013 with arms wide open and heads full of new projects and goal to achieve! Everyone who knows me knows how much time I spend dreaming about new projects. This year, one of my goal is to turn my projects into goals. I want to push myself to the limit. I want to discover new things, explore new types of photography, new angles. Most of all, I want to find more time to post here, not simply because I love blogging, but because it makes me grow, it makes me move, it makes me better. Somehow.

And before I swipe last year off and move on, I want to say a big thank you for those who believe in me, read me, encourage me. You are my reason to stay passionate. xx

Making things official

Hey there,
today I thought I’d share with you one of my friend’s design. After getting through really rough stuff, my friend was feeling quite under the weather and depressed. And just like everyone, started using ellipsis at the end of every sentence. And I understood him for it. But as I was trying to help him feel better, and bring a smile back in his face, I told him he should stop using these oh-so-depressing dots at the end of his sentences. That maybe, it would be a good start in making every situation sound a little more positive. And so we officially declared october 24th to be the day where no ellipsis would make us feel down anymore. And this is the official poster :

Etsy finds / It’s a heart thing

Heyyy readers! It’s wednesday afternoon and I am feeling in love. Yesterday Mika and I went to the movie theater for the second time since we met (almost two years ago). Crazy isn’t it? We had a great time. I have been asking in forever to go see that new movie from Tim Burton, and we finally went. Yay. With that said, here is a etsy selection of things that caught my eyes, according to my lover feelings !

These heart pattern letterpress gift tags from FlourishCollection are the cutest. They add so much charm to a gift wrap!

This ring from ZMJewellery  is making my heart melt.

I don’t know what I love most about those bowls from RossLab. The size, the set or the color. I think it’s a mix of all of it. They’re just perfect.

Ever since I discovered their existence, I’ve always been a huge fan of paper straws. I use them whenever I invite people over for a meal. Those from MarigoldandSageParty are too cute to be true.

Cardboard beauties

So well, maybe I am sharing too much stuff from others, and not enought of myself, but hey, there’s just so many great artists out there, and I love promoting them. And these paperworks from Happy Day Bits are just so charming. How nice is it to receive a card from someone you love! I think there are no such things, and sometimes, I believe that’s why I am more of a print graphic designer than a web designer. I just am a huge paper lover.

&It kills me to hear people talking about how technology is taking over, like all of a sudden, all the books and paperworks would disapear into a big black hole.

So, you people take time to write something nice to someone you love in a non-technologic way, okay? It’s no harder than pushing button on a keyboard & will sure bring a brighter smile to the one you’re sending it to.

Much love .

Hey. whatup boyfriend

No, this isn’t about my boyfriend! (even though I can’t get enough of taking pictures of him.) This is about my new DSLR camera lens. AND its BLUR. Seriously, look at this. It is almost ridiculous. I am a huge focus/blur fan, and this lens, is my year greatest purchase I guess. It opens up to f1.4, which is why it has so much contrast between focus and blur.

So for those of you willing to have something cool, go for it. Canon 50mm f1.4 USM.
(And yes, his smile is the cutest, I guess that’s another reason to post these photos)

xx Have fun bluring the hell out of your shots

Some cuteness

Oh my god. How cheesy is it to post a picture of a cat on your blog? Well, let’s be honest, I don’t care! Because I know you can’t resist the cuteness of this one. It’s my roomate’s and I just can’t get enough of this cute whiskered face. This weekend I bought myself a new lens (yay!) and I just couldn’t wait to try it. So the cat proposed itself as a model. (Well that’s just what it looked like?) For those of you looking for any new lens for your DSLR, I can’t tell you how much I love this one. It’s the Canon 50mm f1,4 USM. The blur is insane. Who gets tired of blur? I don’t.

The price isn’t so cheap compared to the lower version, 50mm, f1,8, but i’m pretty sure the quality is quite worth the difference. I CAN’T wait to shoot my brother’s wedding this weekend !
