I’ve always been quite of a silver girl. Because I never knew how to match gold I guess. But now the wind has switch side, I’m all into gold now, and this collection from BUTTERSCOTCH OF BROOKLYN is everything I can possibly dream of. GOD I would have wore one of those at my brother’s wedding if it wasn’t next saturday!

Have you ever felt the ground opening under your feet, and swallowing you entirely. Felt like all you can do is laying on your bed without any thoughts at all. That’s about how I felt a year ago. This week-end, we’re gathering in rememberance of a dear friend who took his life away last year. Horrible, isn’t it?
How do you get used to such a loss? I’ve learned many things this year. One of it is that you never get OVER it. You learn to live with it, along with the loss. And the sadness,.. and the fear. At first, it had seemed awkward to move on. But life won’t wait. It doesn’t. It goes. And that’s just what you have to learn, although I’m not wishing anyone of you this experience. Let’s gather. In rememberance of a lost soul, a dear one. I still miss you like crazy, boy.
I got this inked as a memory of him. It helps me remember how lucky I am to be alive.
Amazing man-made stuff
So, on the hunt to satisfy my neverending thrist for new stylish stuff, I stopped my surfing on a fresh online shop. A+R Store is the place you guys should all waste 2 or 3 minutes on. Inspiring stuff, cool design objects and funky gifts, they got it all. This splash bowl is my very favorite thing!
By the way, I know I told you about how excited I was about sharing plenty of new D.I.Y. with you but time is missing like crazy. I am quitting the board shop job to have more time for me & you. I hope this is gonna be worth it, because it surely hasn’t been an easy decision. Let’s jump in this designer’s life with both feet!
Total excuses vs. total inspirations
These last two weeks have been incredibly fun, but incredibly full. I wish I had taken a little time to post in here, but i’m sorry I haven’t. I owe you excuses, readers. So, Mika & I have been on a great trip from Quebec to Chicago for 7 days. Really exciting. See the video I made HERE! (I really enjoyed the film making process. I might just get a new camera to explore more opportunities on that side!) And then we had a journey in Montreal, where we shopped & stayed in a charming Bed&Breakfast. In between I spent some time with my folks & just enjoyed the fact of having no alarm to wake up to.
Monday morning, back-to-work day, and i’m starting this with some inspirations. What else to start a great week?

The Gaslight Anthem – Handwritten
As you already know, I absolutely love The Gaslight Anthem. It makes me sad to write this but I have to…I am disappointed with their new album. Maybe I’m being too hard on them or something, but I was pretty sure they would come up with the best album I’ve ever heard. When I first listened to American Slang or the 59 Sound, I immediately liked them, but I don’t know, it’s just not the same. Brian’s lyrics and voice almost gives me goose bumps, they really get to me… Don’t get me wrong though, it’s played in my car every day since I got it. I still particularly enjoy listening to “45” and “Handwritten“. I’d love to know if I’m crazy or if you’re disappointed too.. Give me some feedback readers!

We’re just about …
Have I been waiting for that moment ever since we came back from Myrtle Beach last summer? Yes I have. I can’t tell you just how happy I am that we’re hitting the road for god-knows-where this week-end. I love that we haven’t settle for any destination or any activities yet and that it’s all gonna come by hitself as we’re roadtripping together. (We, I mean Mika & I, if you haven’t guessed yet) I love that i’m doing it with someone I love. I love that we are finally gonna get to spend a little time together. (Like, more than few minutes before I fall asleep). And I love packing for a trip. It’s almost as fun as leaving, isn’t it? That’s where you get to make BIG choices. Like which outfits am I gonna bring? And that’s also where you get to realize; OMG. How come do I have so many clothes and always feel like I got nothing to wear. Yeah ..
Anyways, I won’t be posting much next week but I’ll make sure to take thousands of pictures to feed you all hungry readers when I get back!

So, do I need to tell you I am a huge Etsy fan? I love how people put up their talent to handcraft some treasures and sell them on that site. It has became a daily routine for me to just sneak at these treasures little by little. I find A LOT of inspiration ’round there. My daily selection of articles was mind blowing, starting by these yellow&coral dipped wooden bowls. So I took a look at Wind & Willow Home shop and fell in love over & over again. I’m dying over every little piece of it. Take a look!

Today is a hunt-for-inspiration day. Having some photo shoot coming my way, I decided to look for something refreshing to quench my thirst. Here I got it.
