WHAT YOU NEED:
- A pair of plain flats
- Acrylic paint
- Textile medium for acrylic paint
- cotton swabs
CRAFT IT:
- Mix together the acrylic paint with the textile medium in a proportion of 2 for 1. (Which means, you add 1 drop of textile medium to 2 drops of paint) Do this with 2 or 3 colors if you want the shoes to be colorful.
- Dip the tip of a cotton swab in the mixture and press small spots randomly all over the shoes. (Don’t forget to take a new coton swab for every color!)
- Let them dry for a few hours, then, wear them proudly and collect compliments !
Craft acrylic paint in warmlat and other department stores runs about .70 to .99 cent a bottle which is pretty cheap and they mix and blend great. I don’t know what colors you are looking for but because they mix so great you could do 4 bottles remembering our color wheels from school and get white, blue, yellow and red and mix them (blue and yellow make green, red and yellow make orange, red and blue make purple ..you get the idea) and then use white either for the background or to lighten up the other colors to give you various shades. so in all 4 bottles would set you back anywhere from 2.80-3.96 total! and you end up with a rainbow of colors!
